Practical guidance

Support different learners

Ages 3–4

Use short, adult-led conversations, simple vocabulary and visual exploration. Stop whenever attention fades.

Ages 5–7

Read briefly, ask one or two questions, and use the games to revisit words and kind choices.

Ages 8–11

Encourage summaries in the child's own words, family relationships and more detailed quiz questions.

Ages 12+

Use longer biographies and source notes. Discuss differences between historical accounts and religious interpretations.

Questions for discussion

What did you learn today that you didn't know before?
What does kindness look like at home, at school or with friends?
Who is related to whom in this story? How do we know?
Which questions would you like to research together?
